Meet Joshua Adams
Coach • Teacher • Ministry Leader
I’m Joshua Adams, founder of Excelsior Coaching. My background includes Marriage & Family Therapy, education, and years of ministry experience—from children’s ministry to youth and young adults.
I’ve seen what happens when men carry silent battles—addiction, anger, shame, stress, resentment, and burnout—while trying to hold everything together. I’ve also seen the freedom that comes when they step into community, get honest, and do the work with the right support.
My heart is to help men:
Heal from old wounds.
Lead with integrity and courage.
Show up as the husbands, fathers, and leaders they’re called to be.
If you’re ready to stop surviving and start growing, I’d be honored to walk with you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Is this therapy?
Answer:
No. Excelsior Coaching offers coaching, not clinical counseling or psychotherapy. I draw from my background in Marriage & Family Therapy, but I do not diagnose or treat mental health disorders. When needed, I encourage clients to seek counseling alongside coaching.
Question: Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?
Answer:
No. I work with men and couples from different backgrounds. My coaching is faith-informed and Christ-centered, but I always respect where you are and never force beliefs or performance.
Question: How long do people usually work with you?
Answer:
Many clients commit to a 3–6 month process to see real change. Men’s groups typically run in multi-week cycles, and 1:1 or couples coaching packages are structured to support sustained progress.
Question: Do you meet online or in person?
Answer:
I offer online sessions and, when possible, local in-person options. We’ll choose what works best for you and your situation.
Question: What are the next steps if I’m interested?
Answer:
The first step is a free clarity call. We’ll talk through what you’re facing, where you want to grow, and whether Excelsior Coaching is the right fit. From there, we’ll decide on a group, one-on-one coaching, or couples/parenting support.
